Jill Thomas from this Newton Abbot Studio describes her independent, family-run business as a ‘one-stop’ shop. Devon Home finds out more
How long have you been running Inline Kitchens?
We have been running for 27 years, having started our business in 1987 when we were based in Kingsteignton. We moved to our Newton Abbot premises in 2000 and are located next to the Clock Tower, which makes us very easy to find.
How did you get into it?
My husband, Ian, is a joiner by trade, so we used this experience to build up our family-run business. Our other partner is Neil Parnell who is also a joiner by trade, and we are all fully qualified with plenty of experience.Â
What services do you offer?
We really are a one-stop shop, providing a complete design and fitting service under one roof. We sell and fit a range of styles of English-made kitchens from traditional to contemporary, along with bathrooms and home accessories. We have our own project managers and installation technicians, as well as providing fabrics, a fitting service and an in-house interior designer to help complete the look of your project. Â
What Devon-based projects you are currently working on?
We travel anywhere, having been as far as the Isle of Wight, but we have recently worked on a new-build in Goodrington where we supplied the kitchen, bedroom and en-suite bathroom, along with all fabrics.Â
What can we find in your showroom?
As well as our large range of kitchens on show, which are geared towards all budgets and tastes, we have a stylish choice of furnishings in our shop from Parlane, who supply home accessories such as stools, lighting, wall art, candles and vases. We also stock Romo fabrics, wallpapers and upholstery fabrics. We would like to encourage customers to come in and browse to see for themselves what a wide choice we have. We are very friendly too!Â
Any special offers taking place in March/April?
We are offering up to 30% off selected kitchens, up to 20% off Siemens appliances (when purchased with a new kitchen), up to 20% off bedrooms and up to 10% off our new range of Parlane’s home accessories. What better time to visit?
