A bathroom designed by Sapphire Spaces in Topsham

Sapphire Spaces

Over the last decade, bathroom design has gained greater focus and how we view our bathrooms has dramatically changed. It wasn’t so long ago that having an en suite was considered a luxury but now they are a regular feature, and an additional guest bathroom is high on the ‘wish list’ for homeowners and potential purchasers.

No longer is the bathroom a place for a quick wash and brush up. It is where we start and end each day; where we have some of our best ideas while taking a shower, or a place of sanctuary to wash away the day.

Mark Newbery, managing director of Sapphire Spaces, has worked in the property and design sector for over 30 years and has seen how bathrooms have gained importance over that time. “A white bathroom used to be the go-to for developers and homeowners – a clean, safe choice… now we have greater expectations,” he explains. “With bathrooms closely rivalling kitchens in the ‘what is the most important room in your home’ debate, clients are now looking to recreate a boutique hotel experience, or a soothing spa vibe.”

Sapphire Spaces truly understands that making changes to your home can be a significant investment, one which should bring enjoyment and add value. Its award-winning design team is constantly looking at innovations and what is currently trending, but the philosophy is always to create a beautiful space that will stand the test of time and be loved for years to come.

Good bathroom design should maximise on space and make life easier, so Sapphire Spaces welcomes clients looking for a refreshing alternative to mainstream bathroom showrooms. Its designs outlive the average lifespan of a bathroom and it only works with the highest quality manufacturers who focus on innovation, design and durability.

Projects are usually based around Devon and Cornwall but with a showroom located just off the M5 (opposite Darts Farm), clients from all over the South West and beyond are welcome. When you visit the relaxed showroom, you will receive a warm, friendly welcome. Visitors are encouraged to browse and have a chat. These early conversations help the team at Sapphire Spaces and customers get to know one another – it’s really important for customers to feel comfortable with and confident in the team’s ability.

Each bathroom is as unique as its owner and the service is tailored to your individual requirements. Interior design is a collaborative effort between designer and client and no scheme is truly successful unless the client is thrilled with the outcome.

If you are updating an existing bathroom, embarking on an extension or a new build, Sapphire Spaces would love to help. With a flexible approach, the team works either directly with clients, or through their architects and interior designers.

Although appointments are not necessary, booking is strongly recommended so the team can get the coffee on and make sure you have time to browse and chat without interruption.
