A £2.75m modernist retreat on a cliff top near Stoke Fleming
1 July 2013
Frenchman's Creek, is a property well beyond the means of most of us. Builder Phil Elliott has worked on this glamorous home in its various forms since he was an apprentice with his grandfather in the 1970s. Here he tells Jennie Cooper about the stages in its history.
"I've worked on this house since 1977 and employed local businesses," says Phil Elliott. "My second cousin, Kim Tucker, supplied the plant hire, and my grandfather used to work on the gardens in the 1930s. Our family dates back in Stoke Fleming over 500 years."
The property is currently for sale with Marchand Petit.
