A sensitive, thoughtful redesign has resulted in an updated property, fitted to the highest of standards

Fundamental to the way in which Woodbury-based architects In Ex Design works, is the time spent with a prospective client, getting to know them and approaching each project differently. “Every client and project is individual,” says Julie-Ann Clements, Director. “We ask how they want the property to feel and perform, and how the spaces should interact. We then adapt these elements to suit each customer and their home,” she continues.

In Longacre, in Shaldon, the brief was to redesign and update the interior, as well as to add a 1.5-metre extension along the length of the kitchen, doubling its space. “Walls were knocked down, new windows were installed, the garden was levelled, and we fitted out the entire house with new carpets and curtains,” adds Julie-Ann.

The four-bedroom, three-bathroom home now has a space that flows throughout and a kitchen/dining/living area that’s flooded with light.
